On April 15, 2021, the family of beloved late resident Walter Lniski invited the MediLodge of Plymouth team to join them in the facility’s backyard to present a unique gift: a quality crafted octagon picnic table from Shipshewana Furniture Company.
Walter’s loving wife Anne, son Stan, and daughters Nancy, Judy & Cindy shared a special moment with our staff, dedicating the beautiful tribute on behalf of Walter in sincere gratitude to the entire team for the exceptional care & compassion provided during his 3 ½ years in our Medilodge family.
Our staff had developed cherished bonds with Walter and his close family during his time with us here, as Walter’s magnetic personality and his family’s devotion (visiting for extended periods each & every day prior to the pandemic) were impressive & touching. Our hearts ached as they endured the difficult times experienced by all in facing the restrictions and protocols of the past year. Throughout that challenging time, the Lniski’s never faltered in their allegiance to Walter and the connection established with our team.
The Lniski family shared with us that contributions received from friends and loved ones during Walter’s funeral services this past December were utilized to fund this thoughtful gift. A memorial plaque is planned to be applied as well.
Our team is honored to accept this generous & meaningful recognition of our staff’s dedication to the lives & families we serve. The appreciation is indeed mutual as this beautiful furnishing, nestled in our cozy lawn area is certain to offer, a place for helping hands to enjoy an outdoor break, for countless years to come.
